I’ve always had a desire to run my own business. For a long time, I sat on the sidelines watching the all-stars work the field of coaching and personal development and, more importantly, entrepreneurship. From the stands, I learned from their mistakes as well as successes. In 2010 I decided I was ready join the game.
The key to my success has been a willingness to learn and adapt as I go and to stand confidently in what I have to offer, knowing that I’m unique and that my work is of value.
Among the many struggles, the most difficult for me has been navigating the balance of motherhood and business. It’s important to clarify that it’s not motherhood and work but motherhood and the growth of my business. With each gain there have been setbacks. And with each new experience of motherhood and womanhood comes a new learning.
In an effort to accelerate my learning curve, I’m personally going to spend the next few months interviewing women who have built and maintained 6 and 7 figure businesses while raising a family.
Many naysayers will stomp on dreams and insist that I should wait until my children are grown, but I truly believe it is possible to be a good mom, a happy woman and profitable business owner. And I’m on a mission to discover the secret formula.
I hope you’ll join me on the adventure as I interview these remarkable women who are doing great work that has an impact and is profitable. May their lessons be the tools to help carry us all forward and provide us with the freedom to do the work we love, which can improve our communities and provide for our families.
In the coming weeks, I’ll provide more details about these interviews. To be sure you don’t miss a thing, sign up here for notifications of live and recorded interviews.
If you’ve also been curious about how they do it, I’d love to know what questions you might have and what you’re most interested in knowing.
